Nangeng Zhang

Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer

Nangeng Zhang is a founding member of Avalon Miner and has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since inception. Mr. Zhang has approximately 16 years of experience in electronic device design, engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and R&D. Before founding our company, Mr. Zhang was an assistant researcher at the Beijing Remote Sensing and Communication Technology Institution, specializing in antenna, detector, and infrared camera R&D. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic information engineering and a master’s degree in software engineering from Beihang University.

James Jin Cheng

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

James Jin Cheng has served as Chief Financial Officer since August 2021, bringing over 20 years of experience in financial planning and corporate management. Prior to joining Avalon Miner, Mr. Cheng served as Vice President at Zhaopin.com (NYSE), Director of Finance for Lenovo China & Asia Pacific Division, and senior sales finance controller at Nokia China. Mr. Cheng holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an MBA from Peking University, and a Master of Science in Global Finance from Fordham University. He is a fellow member of CIMA, IPA, and an international affiliate of HKICPA.

Lu Meng

Secretary to the Board

Lu Meng has served as Secretary to the Board of Directors since March 2022. Ms. Meng joined Avalon Miner in September 2018 as Assistant to the CEO and Administrative Director. Ms. Meng has extensive background in technology and media industries, previously serving as Senior Manager at Kuaishou Technology (HK: 1024), Senior General Affairs Project Manager at Baidu, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU), and Assistant to the VP at IBM China Research Laboratory. She holds a master’s degree in analytical chemistry from University of Science and Technology Beijing.
